We will focus on what is commonly called “ICE Watch” or “Migra Watch”—community efforts to observe and document the activities of federal immigration enforcement agencies [i.e., U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)]. Please note: This is not a “Know Your Rights” training. Instead, the presentation will explore: -How to identify immigration agents -How to distinguish ICE from local police or other law enforcement -What community members should and should not do if they encounter immigration enforcement activity -How to document responsibly and safely without interfering Participants will gain a clearer understanding of the visual cues, jurisdictional differences, and practical boundaries involved in community monitoring efforts. The emphasis is on awareness, discernment, and responsible action — not escalation.
