Programs for Children and Youth
You’ve heard it so often because it’s true: Children are our future. That’s why we offer a variety of enriching programs and activities for the youngest members of our church community and their families. Our programs for children and youth are under the supervision of our Director of Lifespan Religious Education, Jesi Laughlin. The Children’s Religious Education (RE) committee and other church members assit in planning and carrying out the programs.
This year children and youth will divide up in three age groups to delve a little deeper into their Unitarian Universalist Identity.
PreK thru third graders will experience Spirit Play, a Montessori inspired UU curriculum.
Kindergarten and first graders will also have the opportunity to take Our Whole Lives, OWL, a lifespan sexuality curriculum.
Fourth thru sixth graders will participate in a skills based antiracism curriculum called Jubilee Kids for part of the year and have the opportunity to take their level of OWL as well. Alternate programming will be available for those who do not wish to attend.
Middle and High School youth will learn about the faiths and traditions of several world religions while deepening their understanding of their UU faith in Crossing Paths.

By centering families in this way we demonstrate how important they are to our church. See Jesi Laughlin with questions. Sign up in the RE Commons or online by clicking on the image to the right.
