   This month, we'll work on plans and get folks signed up to help with the Haunted Forest on Oct.19 at UUCP and check in with Many Paths CUUPs about their plans for Samhain. Then, Susan Smith will lead an apple ritual. Following that, everyone is encouraged to bring the words or share a link to their favorite chant, and we'll do some group chanting. 
   CUUPs stands for Covenant of UU Pagans. We meet on first Wednesdays. All are welcome.

   Do you hope to face human mortality with less fear and more curiosity? With less conformity and more creativity? If that sounds like you, welcome to Date with Death Club, where we explore topics of aging, death, and dying. Attend one, some, or all sessions. 
   This month, our topic is “Medical Aid in   Dying / Death with Dignity.” We’ll discuss what death with dignity means and explore the in’s and out’s of Medical Aid in Dying (MAiD), including its legal status in the United States and what it means. We’ll also review other legal, ethical ways to hasten death, being sure to explore concerns about ableism that are a part  of this landscape.
