Location: Conference Room
Overview: The Course states that a universal theology is not possible; there exists different, yet valid, pathways to the Truth. The Course is one of those pathways. Maybe you’ve heard the Course referred to by Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, or Oprah Winfrey.
The way we experience and interpret the world depends on the ideas that fill our minds. If they are small, weak, superficial, and incoherent, life will appear insipid, uninteresting, petty, and chaotic. If our ideas are unlimited, strong, deep, and clear, anything is possible. Use your inner eye, develop your imagination, create the internal picture so we can collectively picture the world we desire. We are learning to walk in the world with a quiet sense of confidence, trust, and inner peace.
“There is no hell” (T.15.1.7:1), only the experience of searing pain that follows making the wrong choice. Release from this pain/hell lies in learning that the mind that chose wrongly can choose again. A Course In Miracles teaches that the mind has the power to choose between “heaven or hell” right here, right now. Just as UU is the “no hell” church, the Course in Miracles is a “no hell” path of spiritual psychology.
