Speaker(s): Unitarian Universalist Leaders
What if to “side with love” meant making bold, faith-full choices? What if it were even a little bit scary? This worship service brings together worship leaders and musicians from across the country to offer hopeful, moving, challenging reminders about what we, as Unitarian Universalists, are called to do, and BE, in the world. This worship is provided to all congregations as a service of Side with Love, our denominational advocacy group.
This year’s 30 Days of Love celebration (https://sidewithlove.org/thirty-days-of-love) centers on four themes from Widening the Circle of Concern (a report from UUA to research, report, and make recommendations for transforming white supremacy and other oppression in the UUA and its congregations): Living our Values, Hospitality and Inclusion, Educating for Liberation, and Restoration and Reparations. This service invites UUs into life-giving and sometimes uncomfortable reflection about how privilege can cause harm, and how we can be agents of change, and of healing.
