A Winter Holiday Pageant

SanctuarySomewhere in the world there is a place for all of us. UUCP kids and youth explore this idea through telling Lemony Snicket’s “The Latke Who Couldn’t Stop Screaming: A Christmas Story.” This worship service will be available in person and on Zoom but will not be live-streamed on Facebook. Recordings will only be made available upon request to members and friends of UUCP.

OWL Orientation

RE Meeting RoomThe Parent/Caregiver Orientation is required for parents or caregivers and their children who will participate in the Our Whole Lives: Sexuality Education for Grades 5-6 program. This orientation places parents/caregivers as their child’s primary sexuality educator and engages them as partners in the Our Whole Lives program. In the interactive workshop, facilitators model developmentally appropriate techniques for addressing the topic of human sexuality with children. Families are invited to join us for some light-hearted holiday time together, or if the grown

After Worship ~ Everyone
Kids can shop during the service with an elf helper (UUCP Youth), and everyone is welcome to shop in Fellowship Hall during coffee hour. There will be a variety of items at all price points, with prices starting at $3 and many around $10. Sales tax will be added. This year, the sale is hosted by Ten Thousand Villages, a new fair-trade store in Peoria Heights. This is a great way to pick up last-minute fair-trade gifts.
Kids will have an opportunity to wrap their gifts after they make their purchases so that their gifts can be holiday surprises. If you wish for your child to participate, please send cash or credit card, a shopping list with recipients, a budget, and permission. Check your kiddo in to RE before worship to complete the shopping list with budget and payment. Volunteers are needed to help with shop keeping.
